All succulent pieces are propagated 100% from other plants in our garden. All plants are grown with only water and dirt (chemical free).

Our Story

Propagation Nation began in the quiet days of COVID, when the world seemed to pause and our family was searching for small joys we could cultivate together. What started as a way to pass the time with our daughters - then 3 and just 1 — soon grew into something more meaningful.

We began with clippings on the windowsill, little leaves that promised life if given patience and care. As the weeks turned to months, we noticed patterns emerging — the way succulents spiraled in perfect sequences, the way groupings made each arrangement feel balanced and alive. We laughed at how our yard became a propagation station,

Before long, Ava and Izzy were propagating on their own — tiny hands planting tiny cuttings, proudly arranging them into living mosaics. What had started as a pastime became our family’s shared canvas, a blend of art and love rooted in soil.

Today, Propagation Nation is still fueled by that same spirit of wonder and togetherness. Every piece we create — from cascading succulent waterfalls to intricate rain chains — carries that story within it. Each design honors nature’s ratios and the beauty that emerges when things grow at their own rhythm.

Looking ahead, our dream is to share more widely. We’re expanding our retail and e-commerce offerings so people everywhere can bring living art into their homes. And here in Marin, we plan to host hands-on succulent workshops, inviting neighbors, families, and fellow dreamers to come propagate, plant, and create together.
